Sagittarius is known as The Archer [Middle English, from Latin Sagittarius, from Sagittarius, archer, from sagitta, arrow.], and is on the Meridian on August 20. A very large constellation that has had much debate over just who Sagittarius is, though it is generally agreed that he is a centaur -- half man, half horse. He is commonly identified with Chiron, who is represented by the constellation Centaurus, but Chiron was a wise and benevolent creature, whereas Sagittarius is a more belligerent type, depicted with bow drawn, arrow aimed at Scorpius, to the west.
It is difficult to recognize a centaur here, but a modern asterism called the Teapot is relatively easy to find within it.
Sagittarius lies in the same direction of the sky as our galaxy’s center, and so the band of the Milky Way is brightest here. This constellation is very rich in Nebulae.

Luke 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? ----- "The Gracious One."
