Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn (pp. he who has torn us), and he will heal us; he hath smitten (has wounded), and he will bind us up.
If you would like to return to Revelation 2:10-11 regarding the Ten Days being symbolic of the first day of Hosea 6:1-2.
Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up (pp. In just a couple of days, or three at the most, he will set us on our feet again), and we shall live in his sight (pp. to live in his kindness!).
Some scholars believe that the phrase "in just a couple of days" refers to "as those who move a boundary marker" as in Deuteronomy 19:14, 27:17 but I see no connection here to Mosaic Law.
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day
(pp. But dont forget this, dear friends, that a day or a thousand years from now is like tomorrow to the Lord).Just as Jesus was put to death by the Romans, so was the nation of Israel destroyed by the Romans in A.D. 70 as the Roman army carried out the prophecy. Note that 70 years is very symbolic to my 72 year cycle. Jerusalem was burned and by A.D. 135 Hadrian and his Roman troops scattered the Chosen People out into the world.
Jesus was resurrected on the third day (John 2:19, I Cor. 15:4, Isa. 53:10), as will Israel experience a resurrection on the third day. But first Hosea, the prophet wrote in 6:1-2 that after two days (keyword after) represents that two days have passed. This would equate to 1000 years plus 1000 years or 2000. Before we continue the next phrase is "he will revive us," (keyword revive means to bring back to life or consciousness; resuscitate; impart new health, vigor, or spirit to; the validity or effectiveness of). Although the nation of Israel was reborn in 1948 (Ezekiel 37:3-5), I still do not think that it has been revived after two days as Hosea, the prophet stated. If A.D. 70 plus 2000 would be 2070 A.D. and A.D. 135 would equate to 2135 A.D. both are still future events that will restore Israel to another level of effectiveness on the world scene. This would fulfill the prophecy of Hosea that in the third day Israel will be raised up to live in His sight during the coming third millennial day. Of course this is all dependent on whether a thousand years is literally a thousand years or only an average of 906 to 939 years per day as shown in 2 Peter 3:8.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
