"The Mystery of Eliezer of Damascus, 318 Servants, Gen. 15:1-12
and future Servant, the Ram and Heifer, the Hawks, Falcons and Kites.
"
The following excerpt is from Volume I, Chapter Four Section "C", page 480, regarding the subject in Gen. 15:2, The mystery of "Eliezer" of Damascus, 318 servants, three hundred and eighteen and its connection to Genesis 14:14.
Eliezer [(Resh Zayin Ayin Yod Lamed Aleph) A(uh-eh)L(ee)A(eh)Z(eh)R, Eliezer (eli-e’-zur) - Heb. ‘Eliy’ezer, el-ee-eh’-zer, or eli’ezer, from Heb. ‘el, God, and Heb. ‘ezer, ay’-zer, from Heb. ‘azar, aw-zar’, root, to surround, aid, help, thus meaning God is (of) help.  Eliezer was Abram’s chief servant, and "son of his house," that is, one of his large household.   He is named "Eliezer of Damascus" probably to distinguish him from others of the same name (Gen. 15:20).   Probably he is the unnamed servant Abraham sent to his own country and kindred to secure a bride for Isaac, his son of promise (Gen. 24).
See page 471 for comparison of the following information.
eli’ezer R   + Z + O   + Y  + L  + A
           200 + 7 + 70 + 10 + 30 + 1 = 318       (Eliezer) is by coincidence 318 x 3 friends = 954
From Genesis 14:13 plain (by the oaks) of Mamre the Amorite
                                                                          (#1)     A + R    + M + M
                                                                                     1 + 200 + 40 + 40 = 281
brother of Eshcol and the brother of Aner : all were allies of Abram.
            (#2)     L   + Kh + Sh + A             (#3)    R   + M + O             Thus (#1)    (#2)    (#3)
                       30 + 20 + 300 + 1 = 351            200 + 50 + 70 = 320   Thus 281 + 351 + 320 = 952
From Genesis 14:14 his trained men
